My painting process:
My painting process:
All of my original artworks start with working out how much of the vehicle I want in the piece. How much of the character I want to show, what part of the car best displays the personality of it.
Once this is determined, then its onto the initial sketch, which is then refined with my old French curves and circle templates that I still have from my draughtman days.
This is then fixed to stop it smudging the paint, and then a base grounding coat is added all over the piece, and once this is dry we are ready to start painting
.I usually work dark to light, so all the darks are painted in first. Then it’s a case of painting the main larger areas of colour in and just continually refining the piece time and again until its complete.
